Vinny was rescued as pet for my daughters. Little did I know that I would quickly become his human. Dystonia has drastically changed my daily routine and slowed the pace of my life. Vinny has taught me how to be a professional at “chilling out.” He is very content soaking up the morning sun on a chair or curling up on one of his many favorite beds. He has taught me it’s okay to ask for help; we all need each other. He has showed me that gratitude, even for the most basic things, can bring joy and warmth to the soul. He knows it’s good to have fun but sometimes our bodies just need a nap! Vinny seems to know when I’m having a hard day or just when I need a cuddle buddy. He has brought our household much happinesses and love. If Vinny could talk I think he’d say “Life with dystonia is hard but life with pets makes it better!”
